Don’t be blinded by the sun when looking for property in Spain.

You wouldn’t purchase a property in your own country without making all the necessary checks and searches. This is just as important in Spain: do not pay a deposit or sign anything until you have spoken to an independent lawyer.

Buying in Spain is complicated enough – the laws and protection offered to buyers may differ greatly to those of your country, which is why I offer a full hand-holding service and deal with all the parties involved to make sure you fully understand what you’re buying, and under what conditions.

Aside from an in-depth property check, I can also offer additional services. For example, opening a Spanish Bank account or changing the utilities ownership once the property is under your name.

I’ll be your main point of contact, protecting your interests and keeping you fully updated every step of the way. I’ll also deal with all third parties on your behalf. From the moment you decide to buy a property, right through to advising on purchase taxes, attending the notary meetings and everything else in between to see it through to a successful completion – you’ll gain a tailor-made service.

The majority of my clients grant me Power of Attorney. This gives me the authority to act and sign on your behalf in many matters – saving you time, money and travel while ensuring the process runs smoothly.

Poderes Especiales’ – this is the most common form of Power of Attorney where you specify which powers are granted. I will only act for you under your instructions and written confirmation, giving you the confidence for me to proceed with your legal affairs here in Spain.

This is done in front of Spanish notary or at the Spanish consulate in your country.
